God is in control.

Just got a text message about our friend, pastor, ka-weekly-cell, who has passed away. He goes home from work, it’s 1 AM, alone, holdaper shows up, is stabbed on the chest, dead on arrival. Typical news flash… but when you are related to the person, it’s like heavens crumble down. Grieving over a loss of someone very dear to us is way beyond what we could bear. Words of comfort really is not enough especially when things happen abruptly and without justice. You suddenly remember Matthew 24:12 which talks about the increase of wickedness in the last days. You realize you are breathing in it.
 
God reminds us that He is with us.. ALL THE TIME. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28). While weeping, I can’t help but thank God for how He has prepared Kuya Gerry, his family and friends on this sudden loss. He will not put on us more than we can bear (1 Corinthians 10:13). He is our Great Comforter. Kuya Gerry listens to God and seeks Him so much that he is able to share with us what God has been telling him even before everything unthinkable happened. Cleary, God is in control.

To his wife, Ate Elsa (ate, we love you very much. we are praying.), and family and friends, let us find comfort and assurance in God’s Words… in his last few FB posts… which are too awesome beyond understanding.
